At-Home Hepatitis Test: Hep B, Hep C & How to Order
Test for hepatitis from home with a finger-prick blood spot kit — no clinic visit, no appointment. Lab-certified results delivered to your secure account in approximately 5 days.
What Is an At-Home Hepatitis Test?
At-home hepatitis testing uses a finger-prick blood spot sample you collect at home and mail to a CLIA-certified lab. The lab tests for hepatitis antibodies and posts results to your secure online account in approximately 5 days.
It’s important to note that myLAB Box panels include Hepatitis C specifically — not Hepatitis A or B. Hepatitis C is the most common chronic bloodborne infection in the United States and is often asymptomatic for years. The CDC recommends that all adults get tested for Hep C at least once.
If you need to test for Hepatitis A or B specifically, those are available as standalone tests or through a lab visit. If you test positive for Hepatitis C, a physician from the provider’s network will contact you to discuss results and next steps — Hepatitis C is curable with antiviral medication.
